All I can say is wow. I was completely blown away by just about everything at EDC Las Vegas.. The third night was just as epic as the others. Swedish House Mafia‘s set was just crazy as they played all of their hits and mixed in some great songs while the electro laser light show going on in the background made me feel like I had serious case of ADHD. My next favorite set from the night was defiantly A-Trak who mixed up his set with some of his ridiculous hip hop remixes. It was the first time in a while where I actually heard people enjoying Wiz Khalifa’s “Black and Yellow”. It was just that dirty! Avicci also killed it, showering the crowed with giant beach balls that said “I heart Avicci” on them. It wouldn’t have been that big of a deal but there were literally thousands of them in multiple colors and it just didn’t look real!
Over all I have to say the most impressive thing about EDC Las Vegas 2011 was the energy you felt while out in the crowd. I know I’ve already talked about this but the air just felt different out there. I guess they call it “Electric Daisy Carnival” for a reason and I don’t think it’s just because of all the neon lights. Las Vegas really was the perfect place to hold an event like this and I look forward to coming back every year. I want to finish up this post with a huge thank you to Insomniac for hooking it up with the press access and I hope everybody that made it out had a blast. UPDATE: Day 2 Recap + Photos.
Last night was just as epic as night 1! There is so much amazing music to be heard at this festival and I was constantly catching myself just falling into the moment and dancing with everybody around me vs running off to grab photos of other acts. Some of the big boys in the industry took turns rocking the giant stages on the Las Vegas Speedway last night as performances from Afrojack, David Guetta, and Skrillex easily stole the show. So many people came over to see Skrillex and even Afrojack had to get up on stage to give him props for pulling in so many people. It was bigger than just a party last night and it’s clear that EDC belongs in Vegas. Like before, click the image above to go to our photo gallery from last night and if you took any photos from the show yourself, make sure to tag Wantickets on Facebook or you can send them directly to meon our Facebook page. One more night to go! See you out there.
UPDATE: Day 1 Recap + Photos.
Last night was absolutely insane. I have been covering shows and festivals as a blogger for a long time and I don’t think I’ve ever seen a party that crazy in my life. There were people dressed in the most ridiculous costumes, there was music that could melt your face off bumping from every corner of the speedway and there was an energy among the people there that for me was unmatched by any crowed I’ve partied with before. There were some issues with the shuttles that were responsible for getting us to the venue, but other than that everybody seemed to have a good time. I can only hope that night 2 can go as well and I will update you guys with out photos as fast as I can. Also, be on the look out next week for more content from EDC 2011 Las Vegas.
Check out our photos from night one which include appearances from: Tiesto, Calvin Harris, Steve Angello, Steve Aoki, Major Laser, Drop The Lime, The Bloody Beat Roots Death Crew 77 and more from all that was EDC 2011 Las Vegas Day 1. Click the preview pic to get to our gallery on Facebook.
The time has finally come! The mega festival that is The Electronic Daisy Carnival jumps off in Vegas tonight and Wantickets.com will be there tweeting like crazy and keeping you all updated right here on our blog.
