Ever since he was a child, this Virginia-born DJ/producer has been involved in music in some capacity. At only 12 years old he met Pharrell Williams, whom would later become his partner– together they formed the rock/hiphop band, N*E*R*D, and the production team, The Neptunes. Over the years, Chad Hugo has been part of this power duo that has really taken their music to the next level. He’s worked in funk, hip hop, rock, pop, rap, R&B, and now he’s taking over the electro scene. And aside from dominating music with N*E*R*D, and producing some amazing hits with Pharrell, Chad Hugo has recently formed a DJ team called, ‘Missile Command’ (with Hip Hop Dan).
So, whether he’s writing and producing songs for other artists (like N.O.R.E., Kelis, Mystikal, Jay-Z, and Usher), pumping out epic tracks with Pharrell, or mixing it up as a DJ, it’s very much clear that Chad Hugo is unstoppable when it comes to making good music.
