It’s been a week since I landed in Las Vegas for Halloween weekend and while I had an epic four-day adventure covering some of the biggest DJs in the world, it all started with Tim Berg and his amazing set at club XS.

Covering shows in massive clubs is nothing new for me, but there is something about the hype that comes along with an Avicii show that is just special. Maybe it’s because you feel like everybody in the room has been waiting their whole lives just to catch a glimpse of the Swedish Born superstar who only recently took the entire EDM scene by storm. Or maybe it’s because he just keeps dropping hit after hit with no sign of slowing down. Either way I knew this was going to be an amazing night and I was absolutely correct. First off XS is one hell of a club. I have probably visited just about every nightlife spot on the strip and it’s hard to find a venue that better hosts a top DJ while also providing an amazing atmosphere for the people who are there to party. I figured because it was Halloween weekend that it would just be crazy with people getting into fights and security guards pushing people around but there was none of that. This show was a party and everyone there was ready to go all out. The best part about that was they were all dressed up! Here is a shot of me dressed as an Occupy Las Vegas Protestor.

I was actually running a little late but that turned out to be a good thing as Avicii didn’t end up going on till later anyway. The only bad thing was is was soooo packed when we got there that we were literally fighting our way to the stage. Well we weren’t really fighting but you had to really want it that’s for sure!

Once we got to a place where we could see the stage (and still dance with out taking anyone out), the music faded out and Avicii took control. That’s when the place exploded with the screams of sooo many girls wearing so little (god bless their half-naked souls) and the party went off from there.

He played everything! Levels, Bromance, and the rest of his house inspired anthems and it felt like he was never going to stop. I have seen Avicii live maybe 6 times this year and I’d have to say that this set was by far his best (well or at least a tie with EDC Las Vegas). A lot of it had to do with the club and the crowed but as long as you can vibe to Tim’s music, it’s really hard to have a bad time at one of his shows. With another tour coming and a sure to be epic New Years show going down in NYC, there will be no stopping Avicii in 2012. All I can say is get on board now because the Avicii train is going full speed and nobody wants to miss out on this party!
