EDC 2012 has come and gone way too quickly… and even though all that’s left of this incredibly fun filled weekend are our memories (or…what we think we remember?) at least they are f*ck!ng amazing and we’ll have them for the rest of our lives! Everyone has a different moment that still gives them the chills, these are ours and we would love to hear yours too! Leave them in the comments!
Ben -“Ingrosso All The Way – On a night where some of EDM’s heaviest hitters took the stage to open EDC 2012, it was Ingrosso’s incredible set that made the Electronic Daisy Carnival something truly special for me. For the entire hour I was locked into the music and nothing was going to keep me from being a part of what I thought was the best set of the entire festival. There were plenty of highlights during my time in Vegas but going home with a new favorite DJ was priceless. I can’t wait to catch him again”
Robyn -“I’m sure I’m not alone when I say this but by far one of the weirdest but incredibly epic nights I’ve ever experienced was on Saturday. But how many can say that they experienced seeing Markus Schulz and Steve Aoki on a boat?! Among my group of friends, we dubbed them as the saviors of EDC. By waiting it out, we gained one of the most intimate memories EDC could offer us and it wasn’t even planned!”
Laura -“Well it’s definitely safe to say that Calvin Harris SHUT IT DOWN on Saturday night (haha). Before he got cut off his set was my favorite of the weekend, I was dying to see him and I wish that I could have gotten the full experience. I guess there’s always next year!”
Chloe -“I hadn’t intended on staying for Pretty Lights Sunday night but I’m so glad I did! The crowd was in great spirits after the day two fiasco, and everyone was jammin’ outta their minds – it was a totally different vibe. After listening to banger after banger for the first 2 days, having rock & hip-hop thrown into the mix was refreshing. My friends are big into his music so we danced pretty hard – and everyone around us lost it during “Finally Moving” and “All of the Lights.” He kept playing into Guetta’s time slot but they shut him down pretty quick… I wish he’d been able to pull that off!”
Jessica -“The Super You & Me stage, which is Laidback Luke’s themed tour on a “quest to eliminate substandard sounds from the world,” went off on Sunday of EDC! I loved how the stage was decorated with Laidback’s classic cartoon superhero-style blow up figures along with matching comic book visuals. I have never heard Laidback play so heavy and dirty joined by an insane fireworks show, making it one of my favorite mind blowing sets of the weekend!”
Russell-“The shuttle lines, the traffic and the overall craziness of Friday night in Vegas made getting to EDC night 1 an ordeal. Yet somehow my group was able to meet up at the main stage for Kaskade’s amazing set. The fireworks going off as Kaskade dropped 4am/Quasar was UNFORGETTABLE.”
Jerome -“There were many great moments at EDC Vegas, but one of the most memorable was definitely Steve Angello’s set. The Cosmic Meadow might have seemed like a downgrade compared to his main stage performance last year, but it actually was a plus — the show felt a lot more intimate, and the fireworks going off right behind the stage made for a great light show! And yes, his set was BOMB too — I have him to thank for my calves hurting while writing this.”
Vanessa -“I got a little too emotional when I walked into the raceway for the first time on Friday night and looked out over the entire carnival as “Feel So Close” started playing. And I’m not ashamed to admit I actually cried a little hahaha. Also I’ll never forget watching the sun rise as Fedde Le Grand played his “Praise You” remix!”
