It’s hard to imagine a world without music videos. Many artists make videos for what they believe will be their biggest chart topping hit to date and spend thousands of dollars filming, producing, and editing to create the perfect final product. We’ve seen many EDM music videos and have compiled a list of the best….and the worst.

THE BEST:

5. Kill The Noise – “Kill The Noise Pt. 1
The only way to really explain this video is the movie Sin City, Dawn of the Dead, and Call of Duty all on acid. Yep that’s exactly what it is.

4. Wolfgang Gartner – “Illmerica”
Why didn’t my American history teacher show me this video in class? I would have paid more attention.

3. Justice – “D.A.N.C.E”
This video is just plain awesome!! Whoever produced this video, clearly slaved away but it the end result is amazing! “D.A.N.C.E.” actually won an MTV Europe Music Award and it’s easy to see why!

2. Subfocus – “Rock It”
This video is one of the most creative ones I’ve seen! Featuring awesome dance moves and comic book graphics, “Rock It” gives off an almost Daft Punk vibe.

1. Prodigy – “Smack My Bitch Up”
“Smack My Bitch Up” could be described as one of the most controversial music videos of all time. This NSFW is pretty genius and has a VERY surprising twist at the end.

THE WORST:

5. Laidback Luke, Steve Aoki, and Lil Jon – “Turbulence”
Besides the cheesy graphics and Steve Aoki’s rain dance, what makes this video so bad is an upclose visual of Lil Jon’s face yelling at you throughout most of it.

4. Basement Jaxx – “Where’s Your Head At”
“Where’s Your Head At” may be a good song, but the video is not. In fact, it’s actually pretty disturbing and features a cross breed animal with a human face and a monkey body. This video seems to be a prequel to 28 Days Later.

3. Chromeo – “When The Night Falls”
This video features an Alien-style pregnancy, a chase featuring pregnant zombies, and a deadbeat dad made good…can it get any more bizzare?

2. Avicii – “Levels”
“Levels” may have been a summer 2011 favorite, but I can’t say the same about the video. With how big the song was, you would think the video would be epic, right? Wrong. We’re not sure what direction Avicii was headed with this but the video is like a child hyped-up on sugar and bouncing around all over the place.

1. Duck Sauce – “Big Bad Wolf”
What’s more frightening than anything you’ll see this Halloween? Duck Sauce’s “Big Bad Wolf” video of course. This video is not only NSFW, it’s NSFL – not safe for life. We’re warning you now that what you see in this video can’t be unseen. So watch it if you dare, and see why this video takes the #1 spot on the worst EDM video list!
