London-born Aluna Francis and George Reid came together last year to form the group, AlunaGeorge. While the duo is a self-proclaimed “hip-pop” group, their sound transcends this genre (reference: Their single “Your Drums, Your Love”). The duo released a video for the track, which has already topped the pop charts, in mid-September. The video highlights the soulful melodies of frontwoman, Aluna. Her vocals are accompanied by synth stabs, drum samples and a groovy beat. The song, and complementary video, emits a hopeless romantic vibe. The Harry Scholfield-directed video features Aluna hopelessly pledging her love for an uninterested lover, portrayed by frontman George. She croons, “I’ve been treading water for your love, whether I sink or swim, it’s you I’m thinking of” as she walks through an art gallery displaying hanging art by the illustrator Arran Gregory, and live art in the form of street dancing, courtesy of choreographer Brooke Milliner. Check out the video below, and purchase the single here. This track can be found on their album, Your Drums, Your Love Remixes. DJs and producers who have taken to the track and given it their own remix treatment, include Duke Dumont, Lil Silva, Friendly Fires, The Prototypes and Deebs. Check out the remixes here.

AlunaGeorge is currently collaborating with George Townsend and Adam Kaye of Bondax, who previously remixed their single “You Know You Like It.” This remix amps up the volume of the track and makes it a dance hit. The Bondax remix samples the harmonic vocals from the original single, and incorporates a synth-laden beat with a hint of piano sprinkled throughout. Check out the remix below, and to hear more from AlunaGeorge, visit their soundcloud.
