This is the end of the world. This is a new beginning. This is Day Zero.

On December 20-21, the eve of the end of the world according to the end of the Mayan Calendar, revelers will congregate in Playa del Carmen, Mexico for a once-in-a-lifetime gathering that will bring together some of the most innovative musical artists, alternative performances, workshops and jaw-dropping 3D visuals and projections. Surrounded by the beautiful Mayan ruins, this 24 hour event will keep you dancing until the world ends and into a new era.

The occasion will mark the end-date of a 25,625-year-long cycle and the 5th and final cycle of the Mesoamerican Long Count calendar. The fresh start will be accompanied by high energy, absolute love, deep beats and a celebration of the new dawn. As the astronomical alignments and numerological formula gather pace Day Zero will open its arms to the masses as transition takes place.

From a pyramid site set between two lakes in Playa del Carmen, the center of Mayan civilization, Day Zero will bring a magical mix of sound and music from the most forward-thinking electronic music artists as they count down 24 hours to the climax at 11 minutes past 6pm on December 21st 2012.
