Laidback Luke, Joris Voorn, Tommie Sunshine, Seth Toxler and Nina Kraviz have built up a reputation for tearing up the dance floor, but unless you’ve actually dated one of them, you probably have no idea how capable their cooking abilities are.
With the first day of the Amsterdam Dance Event kicking off October 17th, these DJs turned in their headphones and turntables in exchange for pots, pans, and stoves, and joined each other in the kitchen for an intense cook-off arranged by ADE organizers. These DJs showcased a different kind of mixing and dropping as they prepared their delicious mouth-watering meals in front of a live studio audience of VERY fortunate invited guests. However, it doesn’t stop there. No cooking contest would be complete without any industry judges (and DJ foodies), who you may have heard of: Dubfire, Dave Clarke, and the legendary Paul Oakenfold judged this affair and tasted each dish.
American based DJ, Seth Troxler, once again took the crown as the ‘top chef’. What was this winning meal? Well according to Dubfire, who used Instagram to reveal the results, Troxler’s winning entry was ossobuco with bone marrow risotto.
