Tech House DJ Justin Jay released his Halloween Mix just in time for Halloween weekend. While the mix doesn’t live up to it’s name, lacking the Halloween elements we’ve been hearing in DJs’ mixes as of late; it is a great mix for Fall. Jay’s mix starts out with chill songs and works its way up to incorporate that bass we’re used to hearing from him. On the mix, Jay premieres his newest track, “Altitude.” This track may be the only one that evokes a Halloween vibe. The track has a chilling melody, and haunting synths. “Altitude” also layers the track with broken up vocal samples. The Halloween Mix also showcases the newest track from Techno producer, Bobby Champs, “Brooklyn Bomb.” The single premiered on his Steve Martin EP, released earlier this week. Another new song on the mix is fellow dirtybird crew member, Justin Martin’s remix of French Fries, “Smoke & Space.” This song premieres on La Favela Chic’s, of French Fries, newest EP, Space Alarm.
