In one of the most exciting collaborations of the year, Calvin Harris has a brand new track that breaks out of his expected sound and brings some new flavor from one of the fastest rising stars of heavy, crazy dance music, Dillon Francis. Showing hardly any signs of the dance-pop Calvin we’ve grown to know, ‘Here 2 China’ features vocals from British rapper Dizzee Rascal, and shows off a lower-end track, with booming bass and a much darker use of some of the familiar synths he’s used in tracks like ‘Awooga’. After the slew of more pop-oriented songs we’ve seen Calvin producing, its a nice sign that he is pushing forward in all sorts of styles. It’s also been seen in his live sets, where he hasn’t been afraid to mix in some heavier beats and mix his classic vocals into new sounds.
