As if Halloween Weekend isn’t crazy enough, part of our team traveled to Vegas to see what it was all about. We caught up with our #WantDADA winners, Dada Life, our friends at the Wynn AND we saw amazing performances from some of our favorites DJs!
Friday led the weekend off proper and would be tough to follow up. We began the night at the Palazzo’s brand new club, The Act. This new nightclub is the creation of Simon Hammerstein who is also the creator of The Box in New York and London. We can already tell that this Las Vegas counterpart is going to be a huge success and we were excited to be a part of it’s opening!
As our busy night continued, we headed over to the Encore to check out Surrender. The club was absolutely packed but we still managed to wiggle our way up to the front. The crowd was losing it to Deniz Koyu’s set in anticipation of the headliner and infamous cake-thrower, Steve Aoki. Deniz Koyu is one of our favorite up-and-coming DJs, so we were pumped to see him destroying the dance floor. We left for our final stop of the night – XS, where we danced the night away with Sultan and Ned Shepard. We’ve been huge fans of these guys ever since we first heard their summer hit “Walls.” They threw down a great set and our first night was a success.
By the time Saturday night rolled around we had fully recovered and were ready to go! We met up with our #WantDADA winners at Surrender and escorted them to the Ultra Lounge where we got to kick it with Dada Life before they took the stage. Olle and Stefan could not have been more awesome! They took photos, signed autographs and mingled with fans. They were down to earth and a little bit bananas– just as expected!
When Dada Life took the stage at Surrender it was absolute chaos – in a good way! We were surprised when Dada Life wasn’t in costume for the meet and greet, but they transformed into sumo wrestlers for their performance. They rocked Surrender dropping banger after banger. It was hard to tear ourselves away from the madness at Surrender but we wanted to continue the Swedish theme of the night with Steve Angello at XS.
Steve is another one of our favorites so we were stoked to end our weekend with him. Despite the fact he had played at Escape from Wonderland earlier that night, he was full of energy and delivered a sick set. He started off with all the expected classics, and then later transitioned by asking the crowd “Are you ready to get dirty?” Filthy tech house beats blasted throughout the club, keeping everyone dancing until the wee hours of the morning.
It was an amazing weekend, and we are sure that any of you who participated in the Vegas madness called Halloween would agree. For those who weren’t, we hope you had great Halloweekend, but next year we definitely recommend making the trip out to Vegas…you will NOT regret it! We want to give a huge thanks to everyone at the Wynn who helped make this weekend so incredible, for both our #WantDADA winners and our Wantickets team!
Be on the look out for more giveaways from Wantickets & The Wynn – we love to hook you guys up!
