Last week, electro house DJ/producer Thomas Gold had the honor of providing an Essential Mix for Pete Tong’s show on BBC Radio 1. Gold’s essential mix is full of some of the biggest names in EDM today. Just looking at the list of who made his mix will make your eyes cross. Some of the most notable tracks on the mix are Gold’s single “Sing2Me” fused with Red Carpet’s “Alright,” and his remix of Miike Snow’s track “The Wave.” Gold also used this opportunity to premiere his hot new remix of the One Republic single, “Feel Again.” This track starts off with the melodic vocals from One Republic, followed up with an epic build up that drops into a hard-hitting bass line. As the song continues, it builds on itself, and keeps getting better and better. This track has a great dance beat, and we’re sure that this song will get dozens of replays. Other new tracks featured on the mix were the unreleased track from Bingo Players’ “Out of My Mind,” and the newest from Daddy’s Groove, entitled “Stellar.” “Out of My Mind” has a fantastic dance beat; this single from the Dutch duo was highly anticipated and Paul and Maarten did not disappoint. The single also features strong vocals, a synth-laden top line and deep bass line. “Stellar,” on the other hand, has a slower, more indie-rock beginning, featuring only vocals. It isn’t until a little way through the track that we hear the intense top line. The single also showcases piano samples that add to the overall uplifting feel of the track.
