Just in time for the weekend, the Bingo Players are back in action with a new episode of Hysteria Radio. As most of us know, these guys are connoisseurs of the banger and it shows in the selection they’ve got lined up for this month. Bingo Players’ latest release, “Buzzcut,” sparks up the mayhem and before long we’re hurtling into their own fiery mash-up of Nicky Romero’s “Symphonica” and Afrojack & Shermanology’s “Can’t Stop.” They’ve also curated some quality stuff from MAKJ, Tritonal and Dyro that’s bound to get you bouncing. You can catch these guys at the super-club everyone’s talking about – Hakkasan Las Vegas – next weekend, May 11.

Angger Dimas is an artist whose name you’re going to want to write down and save for a later date, which is coming up soon. This guy is the definition of talented, and he deserves a hell of a lot more recognition than he gets. But I’m sure he’ll earn his fame once his EP, “Don’t Look Back In Angger,” is released in August.

I’ve mentioned it before, but I’ll say it again. The sign of a great DJ is versatility. Sure, everyone loves the familiarity and rage factor of dance music at Ultra and EDC, but that doesn’t mean that the artists who are producing truly unique beats should take the backseat. If anything, they deserve a spot up there in the ranks with the world’s top DJs. Angger Dimas has already received positive feedback from Afrojack and Hardwell and represents Indonesia, a country that not many EDM artists come from. Everything about this guy is worth recognizing.

Below is the preview of “Don’t Look Back In Angger,” featuring bits of three new tracks: “Good Stuff,” featuring Vandalism, “Never Been,” and “Gotta Be.” Disco, electro, and moombahton can all be heard in this EP, each boasting its own distinct sound. Solid mashups have always been able to hit me in a special sweet spot that original mixes might never have reached. For those of you who live for the sick, creative musical interplay found in mashups, Dzeko & Torres has now released their RAVE’N Edits compilation. It’s a volume of five tracks featuring samplings from Adrian Lux, Afrojack, Tiesto, Calvin Harris, and Kaskade. It’s banger central over here thanks to this deservedly hyped duo who’s breathed new life into some genius tracks. My personal favorite? “Tuna Melt” vs. “We’ll Be Coming Back.” It sounds epic because it is. Grab it for free on Soundcloud.

Trap bootleg all the songs! That seems to be what is generally happening to electronic songs these days, and now Afrojack and Steve Aoki’s “No Beef” has been revived by Scott Dro. Not much is different here except for the drops which receive the trap treatment of a heavy bass line accompanied by hi hats and snares. The bleepy synths of the original work well with these new drops, and it doesn’t sound forced at all. While there isn’t much originality here, it is good to have a favorite from a few years ago brought back to life, and personally I can’t wait to hear this song played on the dance floor. Sometimes if you can’t figure out how to make a music video fit a song, you just have to turn everything up to eleven. If that doesn’t make sense, just watch Afrojack’s newest video for “As Your Friend.” Then you’ll see what I mean. He’s got girls dancing in bikinis, other girls getting drenched in gold, even other girls walking around on fire, guys popping wheelies on motorcycles, eagles, fireballs, freaking goldfish, and an old shirtless dude chainsawing a huge gold brick. To top it all off Afrojack is seated on what can only be described as the love child of the Aggro Crag and the Iron Throne. HELL YEAH! This is the EDM equivalent of a 1980s Metal music video, and it totally kicks ass. Just don’t expect it to make any sense.
