It isn’t often that a worthwhile remix, particularly one that is dubstep, of a classic Jay-Z song comes along. That is, until Big Gigantic took a whack at it. Their spin on “Can I Get A…” is ingenious, incorporating a big drop and a funky drumstep beat into the original hip hop track. I’m probably gonna have this remix on repeat for the day today, I’m sort of obsessed. See what you think below!

The boys of Savoy have a big week ahead, with their brand new EP Personal Legend coming out tomorrow and their brand new live US tour “Savoy live With Lasers” kicking off on Wednesday in Washington DC. As a follow up to their previous EP, Supertrail, which was released for free from their website, savoyband.com, Personal Legend will also be available for free download as well. In a preview sneak-peek the band streamed the album on turntable.fm for a handful of lucky fans and the response was overwhelmingly positive: the new EP is absolutely amazing.

One of the most anticipated and exciting forthcoming tracks is a collaboration with monsters of bass, Big Gigantic with a track titled “AfterShock”, featuring Savoy’s crazy and intricate production and the signature jazzy sax all blended together in a delicious package of heavy bass and grooving saxophone.
