Every once in a while I get really, really excited about upcoming releases after I hear the all-too-short previews. Tiësto‘s “Take Me,” featuring vocals by Kyler England, had me wide-eyed and overjoyed even if the preview was only 90 seconds long. Its melodic house feel, typical of Tiësto, is enough to get anyone in an instantly good mood. Although it may come off as just another big room house track, you can’t deny the catchiness. This track is nothing but uplifting, and I, for one, can’t wait until its release on May 14. Check out the preview below!

Tiêsto and R3hab will be playing in Las Vegas on May 4! Pick up your tickets here!

If you haven’t heard about Brenton Mattheus yet, listen up. The 18 year-old vocalist from Britain is not only incredibly talented, but also does collaborations with DJs and producers, mostly progressive house artists. His voice is exactly what should be paired with any prog house track, or trance for that matter— it’s uplifting, and angelic. He can hit high notes and hold them for an impressively long time, perfect for a build up or drop.

Mattheus’ most recent track, “Overcome,” is yet another success for the young artist. You might think that a vocalist who only collabs with progressive and trance tunes might get old after a while. But “Overcome,” as well as all of his other tracks, exhibits its own unique sound while maintaining the melodic tendencies of prog house and trance.

I would strongly recommend checking out Mattheus’ other songs, particularly his cover of “Don’t You Worry Child” and “Culture Code.” Either singing solo or accompanied by producers, Brenton Mattheus is making strides in the realm of EDM vocalists.
