Every once in a while I get really, really excited about upcoming releases after I hear the all-too-short previews. Tiësto‘s “Take Me,” featuring vocals by Kyler England, had me wide-eyed and overjoyed even if the preview was only 90 seconds long. Its melodic house feel, typical of Tiësto, is enough to get anyone in an instantly good mood. Although it may come off as just another big room house track, you can’t deny the catchiness. This track is nothing but uplifting, and I, for one, can’t wait until its release on May 14. Check out the preview below!

Maceo Plex is back at it with another single release, and this one’s aptly titled “Galactic Cinema.” As the Spanish producer describes his work, this one’s certainly got a dark and futuristic vibe to it. This vibe can be credited to the eerily grinding synths and space-age beat. “Galactic Cinema” was released Monday along with “Mind On Fire” on Beatport.

Amine Edge & DANCE push Frank Ocean’s haunting R&B vocals to deep, dark house levels with their remix of his track “Lost.” It keeps the soulfulness of the original but adds a bass-heavy beat that’s easily grooved to. Add some chirpy synths top it all off to make a sharp dancefloor jam. The track is available for preview below and its official release date is to be announced. If you haven’t heard about Brenton Mattheus yet, listen up. The 18 year-old vocalist from Britain is not only incredibly talented, but also does collaborations with DJs and producers, mostly progressive house artists. His voice is exactly what should be paired with any prog house track, or trance for that matter— it’s uplifting, and angelic. He can hit high notes and hold them for an impressively long time, perfect for a build up or drop.

Mattheus’ most recent track, “Overcome,” is yet another success for the young artist. You might think that a vocalist who only collabs with progressive and trance tunes might get old after a while. But “Overcome,” as well as all of his other tracks, exhibits its own unique sound while maintaining the melodic tendencies of prog house and trance.

I would strongly recommend checking out Mattheus’ other songs, particularly his cover of “Don’t You Worry Child” and “Culture Code.” Either singing solo or accompanied by producers, Brenton Mattheus is making strides in the realm of EDM vocalists.

Here’s a remix package you don’t want to gloss over. Back in March, Tritonal unveiled their >Metamorphic I EP, featuring their biggest track yet, “Bullet That Saved Me,” with Underdown. Now, on April 29, the “Bullet That Saved Me” Remixes are set to be released. With remixes by Sebjak, Ken Loi, and Ilan Bluestone, all unique to each artist’s sound, the original track will take a turn for the better (which is not to undermine the awesomeness of the original). There’s no question that Lane 8 is a master at clean production and creating atmospheric house vibes that uplift. “So Much” is carried by a bewitching female vocal that instilled peace within me throughout the entirety of the track’s four minutes.
