If the Big Apple’s where you’ll be this coming weekend, rising superstar Danny Avila will deliver an exclusive performance at NYC’s Beats By Dre store this Sunday, May 19 at 3PM EST. Fellow party-starters dBerrie and Seabiscuit are set to accompany the 18-year-old hitmaker, who has joined forces with Beats By Dre to launch the takeover of the new Neon Mixr headphones. This new range of headphones has been designed especially with the DJ in mind, and Danny’s giving away a pair of them (signed by David Guetta!) to one lucky fan in attendance. The scene on Greene St just won’t be the same without the energy of our fans, so if you’re in the area make sure you’re a part of it all.

Arriving in NYC last Saturday it was clear it was going to be an amazing night. As you walked up to Pachita through a private entrance it was obvious that every single person there was truly there for the love of the music. The atmosphere was simply breathtaking to say the least. Everywhere you turned there were people who, although strangers, would dance with you like you had known each other for your entire life. As the night began everyone started to mingle and dance, but the real party started when Solarstone stepped up to the decks for his extended three-hour set.

Throughout his set, the atmosphere was unlike any other that I have ever experienced. Everybody around you was dancing from the first beat to the very last. Dropping huge tracks such as “Jump The Next Train” “FireIsland” and “Jewel” it was clear that every person in the club was in love with this set. Not only did he drop his masterpieces but he also dropped hits like Paul Van Dyk’s “Don’t Deserve You” and Aly & Fila’s remix of “Touchstone”. Even the closing tracks were simply perfect, from “Seven Cities” into the Sneijder remix of “What It’s Like” was absolutely breathtaking.

However, what really made the night stand out in my eyes was the atmosphere and crowd. When there were slight technical difficulties, instead of the crowd getting rambunctious, the crowd stayed calm and everybody tried helping out in order to fix the problem. This simply took my breath away. The entire crowd acted as one family on this legendary night.

On Deck: Halloween Meltdown ft. Nero and Adventure Club @ Hammerstein Ballroom – 10/27

Boys & Girls just released the trailer for their highly-anticipated event, Halloween Meltdown 2012. The trailer tells the story of The Hammerstein nuclear plant that had to be shut down due to a radiation leak. Then a woman hauntingly asks, “if you knew the world was going to end, and you had one last night to celebrate life on this planet, would you come with me?” The trailer features a track with melodic vocals and harmonic synths that drops into a sick beat that gets you amped up for the upcoming show. The event on October 27 at Hammerstein Ballroom in New York will feature performances from British electronic duo, Nero, with a live performance from Alana Watson, and Christian Srigley and Leighton James of Adventure Club. Fareoh and Alex English will also be performing at the event. If this video is any indication of how Halloween Meltdown is going to be this year, you are not going to want to miss out.
