I originally caught wind of Walk off The Earth from their viral hit 5-people 1-guitar cover of Gotye’s “Somebody That I Used to Know” that’s reached over 150 million views on YouTube and was shared pretty much everywhere, considering it was an actually unique cover of the most-played song of 2011-2012. On top of this they’ve released tons of other covers and originals on their YouTube channel and released their debut album R.E.V.O earlier this year, featuring the single “Red Hands“.

Now one thing they haven’t had until now is a banging remix by one of the brightest rising electro stars… until now. We’re always stoked to get new music from Charlie Darker, and this new remix is no exception. Charlie describes his “sunshine mix” as a one-off, happy summer track that’s a quick departure from his usual hard-hitting style. It’s big, it’s energetic, and it does the original track justice by keeping the upbeat vibes and adding a big-room danceable twist that takes the viral video band out of YouTube and onto the dancefloor.

Bright Lights is a collective of artists established by Heather Bright, an industry power player who’s collaborated on a number of classics including Porter Robinson’s “Language” and Zedd’s “Stars Come Out.” Their name initially caught my attention once I experienced their massive hard electro collab with SAVOY – entitled “Dare You To Love Me.” Heather’s vocals on the track are some of the best I’ve heard in EDM – there’s a sense of raw emotion you can feel in every lyric she belts out in the song. She’s returned again to provide first-class vocals on the Bright Lights remix of Benny Benassi’s big-room uplifter “Tell Me Twice.” The original has now shifted from emotive prog-house to dynamic electro set off by cooing synths at its drop. It’s plain to see that GTA‘s got a knack for taking major tracks to the next level. They made their mark earlier this year with a high-intensity remix of Deadmau5‘s “Channel 42″ and have an impressive track record of other successful remixes and collaborations to boast. This time around, they’ve morphed Kaskade’s ethereal classic “Move For Me” into a smooth trap treat. Crisp kickdrum flair and soulful sub-bass enhance the euphoric original to create a fresh update. It’s now available on Beatport.

The charismatic and talented New York duo The Chainsmokers hardly need any introduction, mostly because their own intro to this new remix is priceless as is… but their unique and upbeat sound had us hooked from the first time we heard their indie remixes (most of which are free on their Soundcloud), and it’s always a good day when there’s new stuff to enjoy. Note about the Song: We actually first heard the song via Monsieur Adi’s Remix and thought it was awesome but were curious to hear the original, so we checked it out and loved Say Lou Lou’s original but thought there was still room for a really upbeat version with our progressive indie flare (we hate the word flare). What really appealed to us about Say Lou Lou was they have this renegade softness, its sorta punk but not, that makes no sense right, but there is sort of care-free beautiful nature to there voices and we thought we could make a summer anthem with this baby, or die trying (side note: at no point were we close to death in the making of this remix) So we got the stems, and wanted to create something that really screams ‘let me in I want to fucking dance, but I also brought my own beer.’ So here is how we did it:
