Swedish House Mafia’s One Last Tour reached it’s dramatic conclusion at Ultra this past weekend. If you weren’t aware of that, then I’m not sure how you found yourself on Wanticketsblog to read this post. Thousands were in attendance to watch the Swedes say farewell, and over 200,000 watched on Ultra’s Live Stream from all over the world. Luckily that live stream was recorded, and thanks to EDMtunes it’s now on Soundcloud, and available for free download.

The three got their final party started with Axwell & Sebastian Ingrosso’s “We Come We Rave We Love” before launching into “Greyhound.” Soon after Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike’s massive “Wakanda” boomed out through speakers (the track can already be crowned the song of 2013 festival season before March has even ended). From there on out, the set was a celebration of everything Swedish House Mafia. There are the raging tracks like “Antidote” the euphoric tracks like their remix of “Every Teardrop is a Waterfall” and the ones that floor you like their bootleg of “Swagnum P.I.” Then there is “Save the World” which was saved for their encore. The track inspires the feelings of love and hope that I will remember Swedish House Mafia for.

Having been lucky enough to attend both shows they played here in Los Angeles, I can say that this set felt a little rushed. The hour and a half they were given seemed so short compared to the two hours they played here. Of course on a Sunday night I was painfully aware of each minute passing, and found myself wishing the set would never end. Unfortunately it did, and as the curtain was closing, the trio had their arms draped over each other as they looked out onto a sea of thousands. Everyone holding their breath trying to keep the moment alive for as long as possible. They disappeared from view from the crowd, but those of us watching online got a behind the scenes look as the trio embraced. The three man huddle looked to be equal parts of sadness, relief and joy. The journey has ended, but the extent of the  it was amazing.

You might listen to this set four or five times before enough new music builds up in your iTunes library to push it to the side. You’ll probably hear “Don’t You Worry Child” being played at shows and in clubs for a while after that, but eventually new music will replace it in every DJ’s set. And with so much new music being made, it will be unlikely that you listen to Swedish House Mafia very often or as frequently as you do now. But in ten years, when you’re going through your music collection and stumble upon this set, you will remember all the good times you had that Swedish House Mafia provided the soundtrack for. And those memories will never be replaced.
